After storms, SES volunteers provide temporary repairs and roof covering to secure buildings until owners can
arrange for repairs to be carried out. We have trained chainsaw operators who will cut tree branches that have
fallen on houses. |

When severe flooding occurs, highly trained SES volunteers and their floodboats help to rescue stranded people and relocate them to temporary welfare centres. |

SEARCH |
||
|
The SES provide a command centre and personnel to search for missing persons. |
||

EARTHQUAKE |
||
|
In the event of an earthquake SES manpower will be required to assist in all areas. Volunteers are trained in
search and rescue of collapsed buildings and in basic shoring techniques. |
