The
support and involvement that the Ipswich State Emergency Service Unit
receives from the Ipswich City Council is not only very much appreciated
but more importantly invaluable. Without the support and help from the
council and its officers the unit would not be able to offer to the
community the assistance it is able to do so in times of disaster and
emergency. |

The
Ipswich unit was presented with funding from Councillor Trevor Nardi
and Sheila Ireland for Both Councillors were presented with a 'Certificate of Appreciation' and a plaque for their generous donation. |
||

|
The new Administration building for the Ipswich Unit was opened by Mayor Paul Pisasale in the presence of Rachel Nolan MP Member for Ipswich on 12 November 2005. The new building houses the unit administration and a self contained conference room. The opening was attended by members past and present. The highlight of the occasion was the recognition of past controllers. |
